lyrics
Sailing across the dark eternal night
Deep in the hidden darkness of my soul
Lost in this endless loophole you see no light
Trapped in time and space
Facing the void again
The very mirror of my endless pit
Spinning around the bend again
Dark shade blue eyes for thousands of years
Prescient minds floating beyond the skies
Jealous to preserving their ease to fly
No one escapes their sights
Facing the void again
The very mirror of my endless pit
Spinning around the bend again
Perceptions slowly decay
Black and white is all you sense
Radiations set your mind to clay
Timeless agony until your spirit fades

One of the best doom albums I've heard in a really long time. I like that their sound is more anchored in 70s hard rock, as opposed to, say, NWOBHM or gothic or stoner doom. It's also a very punchy album - both the guitar and bass sound really muscular. The bassist gets to really stretch out on this album.
As a completely random aside, I don't think I've seen it mentioned before, but both TTD and Eye the Tide start the same way the previous album ends, further advancing their trilogy motif. Smekermann

A terrifically woozy slab of psychedelic stoner rock, where big riffs grind against saxophones, omnichords, and more. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 17, 2018
The latest from Fire Down Below pairs 20-ton riffage with searing, melodic vocals to create a batch of potent hard rock songs. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 24, 2017
